Miko the Dog needs a home
Please consider that many of these dogs have been abandoned, ignored by their previous owners, or turned in to a shelter, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.
When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Miko is a super handsome Malinois/GSD mix who was found as a stray and brought to FRGSR so we could find him a good match as an adopter. His foster mom reports that he's very friendly with people and dogs, but he is a HIGH, HIGH energy boy who can be destructive if he's not exercised properly. When he plays with toys, he doesn't maintain interest in one toy for very long and goes from one to another. He has very little ball drive and just likes to play and run. He's made some progress in the manners department, but he may be a bit much for a family with toddlers. Potential adopters will need to have a solid plan in place to provide him with daily rigorous exercise. Optimally, we'd also like to find someone who isn't gone for long periods of time. If you've never owned a Malinois, please research the breed prior to submitting an application. Miko's adoption fee is $300.
